This training explores the key factors involved in incorporating sex therapy into clinical practice. Participants will learn how sex therapy is defined, what the role entails, and gain clarity on whether this specialty is the right fit for them. The course covers various sex therapy modalities and the range of diagnoses commonly addressed in this work, illustrated through case vignettes and treatment examples.
Attendees will also learn how to assess client presenting issues, determine when to take on a sex therapy client versus referring out, and navigate the relevant ethical considerations. The training concludes with guidance on marketing oneself whether by branding as a dedicated sex therapist or by positioning oneself as a clinician offering sex therapy services through specialized training.
